Then an update was quietly released a few weeks later. NI said the problem was there was a space in the name of the. I remember when the first copies of Battery 3 hit the market and it didn't work. Remove Battery 3 and all is fine.except it will probably crash when you do try and remove Battery 3. Same file, same day, different day, doesn't matter if the moon is full or not: One day the file opens, the next day/hour/minute it doesn't. I said this months ago when this defective software was originally unleased on the unsuspecting public and I'll say it again: I have never experienced a program that works "occasionally" like this one.
Also there is no telling whether the file will load next time or not. I have done (what you suggest) before as a last ditch effort to save a project and although it works as you've suggested the problem is you have to then reassign and readjust all of the levels again. It really doesn't appear that they even care, once they have your money.

Battery 3 is a very deep program and NI has absolutely no idea how to fix it. When it crashes my computer, I'm forced into a hard shutdown. My computer works like clockwork EXCEPT for Battery 3.
***Battery 3 is a great program when it works, BUT it has land-mines. Now you can add Battery 3 back into your project (if you want to) and save. When your project finally opens, get rid of Battery 3 VST in devises, and then save the project. Click yes, or OK, just get the project opened without Battery 3.ģ. When it can't find Battery 3, it will ask you if you want to continue without it. Move the from where it's supposed to be (in my case it's in my Steinberg VST folder).Ģ. If Battery 3 crashes as a VSTi in Nuendo, the Nuendo project will not re-open (in just hangs when it tries to load battery 3).ġ.
